We probably could have made it to Matsuyama today, but we didn’t want to arrive late into town and basically go right to bed. Instead, we walked a short 8 miles or so to the town of Tobe. We discovered that this town has an onsen, and right next to the onsen is a huge park! We were in desperate need of a bath, so the Tobe onsen was wonderful.

We spent probably 3 hours at the onsen, most of it was in the relaxing room where I took a nap while stealing electricity to recharge the iphone and computer. Then Risa did her magic and got us a sweet deal on a hotel in Matsuyama.

The park is pretty big, but lots of people. We waited until almost dark before setting up the tent on a hill where no one can see us. The park closes at 10, so we should be alone soon. We will be out of here before it opens and then in Matsuyama by noon tomorrow. We are excited to get a bed and internet access.
